Hi Product Hunt, I'm Brian, the solo founder of Kempt. I'm non-technical, have worked in healthcare technology customer facing roles for 12 years, and have been working on Kempt for 6 months. I'm excited to show it to you all!
My wife and I bought our first home about 2 years ago, and were immediately overwhelmed trying to understand how to maintain it. We received our inspection report filled with projects and tasks we needed to do, but nowhere to track them or understand how to do them.
Kempt was built out of my own need. Type in your address and it builds a plan for your house, starting with one small job you can do this Saturday. Snap a photo of an appliance, Kempt identifies it and files it away, then comes up with a couple maintenance tasks personalized to your make and model. Every Sunday you get a short brief on what's coming up, and you can ask questions about your house anytime.
One of the things I took from working in healthcare technology was personalization. No two humans are the same, and their care plans should reflect that. The same thing goes for homes and homeowners -- houses come in all different shapes and varieties. Homeowners differ between people who like to do projects themselves, and others who would rather hire a pro. Kempt takes that all into account when coming up with the plan for your home.

Hi Brian, this looks really cool! I’ve often wondered how much I could potentially save through everyday decisions, whether it’s fixing things myself, cooking instead of eating out, or choosing alternative ways to commute. It’s an interesting way to make those trade-offs more visible. Looks like you’ve already tackled one of the biggest areas with housing. Best of luck with it, and I’m excited to see where it goes!

@codeandsea Thank you! That is correct, focused on US home owners for now, but if the demand is there would look to expand to other countries.
