The idea came from a simple frustration: there are plenty of microphone apps, but most are either too limited or don't let you do much beyond basic voice amplification. I wanted something that could be useful for public speaking, karaoke, singing practice, rehearsals, and everyday voice amplification...all in one app. Along the way, Live Mic grew to include features like voice effects, EQ, compression, recording, importing backing tracks from the Files app, live captions, local Wi-Fi audio streaming to any browser, and support for different microphone pickup patterns on compatible devices.
