The internet of things is progressing quickly. Investment by large companies such as Intel is one sign. I really believe Structure is addressing the true baseline barriers to IoT. First, the education barrier, by giving away builder kits they can educate their audience about the tremendous impact that IoT can have. Secondly, the drag-and-drop platform reduces the barrier allowing anyone to build actual hardware solutions. Here is a preview of the interface if you haven't already checked out.

So, from a project and portfolio management perspective: What's interesting for me is the opportunity for visibility into the work that is being done by not the people, but the *things* our customers own. A tool that can feed me data on conditions on the factory floor, or the cargo hold, or whatever that could potentially impact those projects - that'd be a great value add. We should stay in touch. Definitely see share upside in taking that structured (coded) but invisible work and making it explicit in a business context could be huge.
