Review Lovable?
Reviewers mostly see Lovable as a fast, polished way to turn ideas into MVPs, landing pages, and front-end prototypes, especially for non-technical users and solo founders. Users repeatedly praise its UI quality, ease of use, GitHub and Supabase workflows, and how quickly it gets usable results. But the same pattern shows up in the complaints: once projects get more complex, it can loop on bugs, make unwanted changes, struggle with backend logic, and burn through credits. Founders behind MindPal and others echo its value for rapid demos and early product work.
GPT Engineer was the first AI based coding tool that successfully created a cloaking script with all necessary files around it, that i ran with Google ads.. succesfully! haha good job
I've joined the team, so I'm biased, but I wouldn't have joined if I didn't think it was awesome!
Really cool that it enables building so many different kind of web apps so easily. It's frankly impressive already, with lots of upcoming improvements to make it even more so!
I love, love, love Lovable. As a founder, I can finally take what I imagine in my mind and quickly articulate it with the team, as if I were printing the vision. One thing I recommend is a pre-offsite Lovable session where everyone on the team gets to articulate an idea they'd like the company to pursue, but rather than with words, with an actual prototype that the rest of the team can quickly grasp.
What needs improvement
Sometimes you want to do a quick personal project, and with the team accounts, you can't. Everyone in the company sees it, and you have to upgrade for your personal plan to do a private project.
vs Alternatives
Lovable was the first vibe coding platform I tried, and loved it so much that I didn't see a need to use any other. It's great.
Really great app! Pushing it to the limit and seeing where I might be giving too many or complicated instructions but really great so far. I've tested a web page and a weight loss tracker app and cant stop working on therm. Will test out integrating custom code next and get something to work but really saves time using this app.
It made something pretty nice in a very short time from one prompt, so I am really impressed. Making changes is still a challenge for me to find the right prompts and to get the wanted results, but I think after a bit of practice I will get better at that to avoid it getting confused and erroring. We are just getting to know each other, so learn to communicatie is step 1π
Thanks for the review Sabrina!
Indeed helps a lot to practice on how to prompt and speak the same language texhnically. Weβll be looking into both making it less sensitive, and resharing good resources from the community on how to prompt best.
