I've been using LucidPix in beta, & so far it's the best solution i've found for automagically converting single 2D images to 3D. The LucidPix algorithm creates a natural sense of depth with little to no noticeable artifacting. I also enjoy the range of 3D frames available, and the fact that more frames are made available on a regular basis. While i also use two different stereo cameras for 3D photography & video, LucidPix is my go-to when i want to convert 2D images to 3D.

Finally a 3D app that mere mortals can use on an iPhone. I have seen other more complicated apps, but they are always so learning curve intensive. Lucid3D is the equivilent of point and shoot! They have done a great job using AI to 'understand' the content before applying changes, so these are not simply dumb filters, they are content aware changes. I applaud the team at Lucid for using AI in the design, which sounds like science fiction, but in reality is so commonplace already in the leading edge tech we use everyday (smart phone, smart cameras, smart watches, facial recognition, etc). And I would expect over time the AI routines that they add will be even more content specific based on lighting, faces, scenery, etc. Touche'

The 3D is kind of faked, but it's still fun to take pictures with LucidPix and post them on Facebook.

I was waiting for Facebook to have this feature on Instagram but this option (your app) is even better! A few issues with certain pics, but I know the app will only continue to get better.

@private_person Think of the 3D photo like a regular image. Facebook is like Microsoft Paint, while LucidPix is like Photoshop. They both can do the same basic thing, one just offers more advanced editing, customization and export tools.
