Monica is an open-source web application to organize the interactions with your loved ones. I call it a PRM, or Personal Relationship Management. Think of it as a CRM (a popular tool used by sales teams in the corporate world) for your friends or family.

I like the idea, but I would like to see it easier to add existing contacts into it. I like the idea that is independent of social networking, but if you would allow users to import from a .vcf or even .csv file. Most of us already have this data in FB or our contact list already. Seems overly burdensome adding this all by hand again. I see you are going to work on an importer, which is great. But for now, I can't upvote just yet. Mobile app would be a definite dealmaker for me, as I already get too many emails. Years ago I got rid of birthday reminder emails for just that reason.

I want to combine this with Fullcontact (https://www.producthunt.com/post...) and have some pseudo-business in there. Example: that recruiter I spoke to about that job 4 years ago. Having something other than email searching would be great. The management part of it needs to be light, or it'll never be used. Marking movies is great, but something I doubt I'd do... although you sync that with Swarm/Day One and now you've got a thing.

@marekdlugos yes, in 2017, when people are actually moving from one country to another really often, making it super hard to keep track of those friends in different countries, friends you care deeply about, but don't see every day, every month or even every year, but matters a lot nonetheless :-D This is my reality, but I can see how it might be criticized.
