"One by One Music" provides AI-generated music for pets suffering from separation anxiety.🐶 "One (wan)" is an onomatopoeia of dogs barking in Japan like "bowwow". ⭐️Why We Created "One by One Music" We are a team mainly formed by students. I like dogs very much because I had a dog, a Pomeranian. It was not until I became a college student that I learned the news that dogs feel stress just as humans feel stress. It is difficult to pet or feed them directly because a human needs to be there to pet or feed them. However, I thought that music, which I have been involved in as a hobby, might be able to reduce stress indirectly without humans being there. I thought that if humans can reduce stress by listening to music, other animals may also be able to reduce stress by listening to music, and this work was born. I believe that by changing the value system to the point that it is not only humans who listen to music, but other animals as well, humanity as a whole will work toward a world that is more livable for all animals, including humans. ⭐️How We Created "One by One Music" We are mainly formed by students. We started this project to develop music to manage separation anxiety in animals. Few studies have found music that works for animals, so we had to formulate our own hypothesis and conduct our own experiments. With the help of a professional composer and Professor Uetake of Waseda University, we passed through a narrow gate to obtain research funding. In the experiment, we made dogs listen to music and measured stress hormone levels from their saliva. After testing various sound elements, they found a special sound that was related to the increase or decrease of stress hormones. When composing music incorporating these special sounds, we focused on melodies and rhythms that were easy for humans to hear. After two years of trial and error, One by One Music was completed. This music is expected to help heal the dog's mind and improve separation anxiety. We believe that through music, we can strengthen the bond between dogs and humans.
