Most trading apps drown you in charts and noise, Ooln takes a different approach: We combine machine learning with sports psychology to guide you through trading's emotional chaos. Sometimes the smartest move is not trading at all.

My introduction to trading was the Game Stop stock boom. Being an impressionable and young high school student, I thought it was a good investment since it was going up so high. I ended up losing half of the money I invested and learned a big lesson. This stock was almost completely fueled by word of mouth and FOMO. Since I was a beginner investor I invested completely on emotions and ended up paying the price. That’s why I see value in something like Ooln. By adding structure to the trading process, it prevents emotional investing which is essentially gambling. This can help people to achieve their financial goals more reliably and makes them a more responsible investor.

@ethan_lee10 The GameStop experience taught you an expensive but valuable lesson early - that market momentum and social media hype aren't investment strategies. Many people learn this the hard way with much larger amounts later in life. That cycle of FOMO-driven decisions is exactly what we're trying to break. When you have predefined risk limits and clear reasoning behind each trade, there's less room for crowd psychology to override logic.

Impressed. Feels like the kind of tool that could really help people trade smarter, especially when emotions tend to hijack logic. I don’t have that much trading experience, so I’m really looking forward to what it can offer as I learn. Excited to see how it grows.

@jemil_dharia Thanks! You're absolutely right about emotions being the biggest challenge in trading.

I’ve always been curious about the stock market but never really knew how to start and was nervous about messing up. Ooln sounds like such a great way to get into it and I love that it even celebrates not trading when that’s the smarter move. It feels like such a cool way to build confidence and finally try trading without all the stress!

@swetha_prakash1 That's exactly why we built Ooln! Starting can feel overwhelming, but celebrating the 'no trade' days is huge - sometimes the best decision is doing nothing.

This is a great concept, I’ve been trying to get into trading with Fidelity, but the interface is so complicated that I’m too nervous to even start. I feel like with an app like this, I'd be more comfortable trusting it to handle my money based on what people have said so far. The fact that it tells you not to trade sometimes is also a unique concept, and it looks like it'll prevent a lot of headache. Looking forward to seeing how this grows!

@leo_marquez We totally get the intimidation factor with traditional platforms! Ooln is designed to be the opposite - simple, clear, and actually protective of your money.

Ooln a pretty novel idea, as a trader myself, I've been up 40% YTD by falling back on my own principals. Additionally I frequently go back and forth with GPT on assessing certain decisions, kind of like a quick advisor. I would love to see the context and thinking that a product like Ooln offers, similarly to how Robinhood gives occasionally AI-powered digests based on current events if it's affecting the current stock being viewed. Additionally would love to see a sort of "global" context for not just individual stocks but the market as a whole that day, for example, today there's an expected federal rate decision which may impact different sectors differently. As for onboarding, would love to see a sort of "principals"/"risk" that a user is willing to take, which may influence how the agent makes decisions (unless that's not the goal for this product, i.e Apple method). I also love the educational tool-tips offered in the app, like how the screenshot mentions "Understanding Time Decay," which is similar insight I've asked GPT for when I navigated an IPO flip last August with $FIG (I got IPO allocations and rode the hype, and made sure not to overpay for an overpriced stock, an insight like this within Ooln would be awesome tbh). Would love to see how this product grows!

@adrian_cordova Love the detailed feedback from someone who's clearly crushing it (40% YTD - nice!)! You've nailed exactly what we're building toward - that market-wide context for rate decisions, personalized risk profiles, and those real-time educational insights.

Just checked out Ooln and really like the mission! As someone curious about trading but turned off by the steep learning curve on platforms like Robinhood, I see real value in simplifying the experience for beginners. The UI feels clean and approachable, and I think that’s key to onboarding new users. Excited to see how Ooln grows, great job team!

@manan_gulati Thank you! You've hit on exactly what we're solving - those traditional platforms can feel like drinking from a fire hose when you're starting out. Clean and approachable was our north star from day one.

Nice timing with today’s Fed decision. The sports-psych approach to taming FOMO and the “don’t trade” nudge, stands out. I also saw your post about the team taking the same mental performance assessment used with NBA/NFL players, that’s a solid foundation for an emotion-aware trading flow. I’m curious how you’ll onboard first-time retail traders vs. seasoned ones, and how it adapts as more real-world data comes in. Following along and excited to see how it evolves.

@omkar_balekundri Spot on timing indeed! Great question on onboarding, we see a world where the newbie and season trader all get the same process to trade the only difference is the education on the markets and what the particular trader is interested in trading.
