I was massively annoyed with multiple AI coding subscriptions, so I built a single subscription that covers everything.
The problem:
You're building a side project. You want the best model for the job: maybe GLM-5 for quick tasks, MiniMax M2.7 for heavier frontend UI tasks, or the all-inclusive, expensive Claude Code subscription. So you start looking at providers. Some are $10/mo, some are $15, some are $25. You don't even know which one suits your coding style yet. You pick one, run out of quota halfway through your project or hit rate limits sooner, and now you're signing up for another one. And even with all that spending, you can't actually get your project fully done on any single plan.
Then there's the other side: if you want AI in your actual product, you're dealing with separate API keys, pay-as-you-go billing that adds up fast, or free tiers with response times so slow they're unusable.
What I built:
OpenAdapter (openadapter.dev). One OpenAI-compatible endpoint sitting in front of multiple open source SOTA models across 10+ providers.
You configure your editor once, Opencode, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Aider, whatever you use, and you're set. Switch models from the dashboard, not your config files. (Some editors still need a config change for the model name, but the base URL stays the same.
