Avoid Parcl.com !!! You have no protection at all for any transaction made on their platform, no support when you place an order and things are going wrong like it happened in my case. There are scammers like Eze Oji Dike and they will take your money and never deliver your package. I placed an order in Australia 1390 aud , i paid 138 usd for all the forward services to Eze Oji Dike and he is not delivering the package even after a month. On top of that this Parcl.com doesn t even replay to my messages and they are not taking actions against their "partners". The only thing i got it was a partial refund of 15 usd. If you want to find a forwarder my advice is to look for a company but stay away from this scammers. I didn t look for reviews before and i had to loose money. I hope you are doing it right and you read this before working with them. So stay away from Parcl.com if you care about your money.

Parcl is a scam, here is why. This company makes it very well known "You're protected because we use Paypal ect" Pay pal has nothing to do with Parcl, Parcl can't insure you for anything and doesn't. Here is why not even Paypal can help. The forwarders (People you pay to send the parcel to you) want the money sent as 'friend' and not as 'payment'. Meaning you're not covered if they steal your money. They won't let you pay them as 'payment for services' because they can't access the funds until a service is completed. Which it isn't, it's only just begun..so if they can't access the funds...then they can't buy you what you want them to. Meaning the only way to get people to help you is to send them un insured money....Yet Parcl pretends like everything is fine and insured....What a joke.

This service can be very helpful, but make sure you: 1) Select your forwarder carefully and read fresh reviews in advance (you can read about forwarders on Parcl.com itself 2) Only pay via PayPal through the button on Parcl 3) Don't "confirm receipt" on PayPal if a forwarder asks you to, contact Parcl support immediately/ask for a refund and go with a different forwarder (create a new request). Shipping carriers are separate entities and their performance is not controlled by the forwarders or Parcl, Lost or damaged items can take eternity to be compensated for and thats just how it is. This service just connects you with other people that are willing to help. You register as a shopper on Parcl and they register as forwarders. Parcl does not claim to control the performance of its users. All of this is stuff is actually stated upfront when you make an account. Its funny, but many people don't like to read, do they?

Maybe because I'm fortunate to find a reliable forwarder on my first-use, my thoughts on Parcl is that it's splendid. I stumbled across Parcl here some time ago; never would've thought that I'll be in need to use it. Recently, Brockhampton Ginger's Merch drop, and I knew that I must get it (before it 'sold out). Withal, this time the merch isn't directing to Thailand for some reasons, (whereas the other time, Thailand was still listed) 😢. I googled 'USA ship to, Thailand' and encountered Parcl once again. Recalling that it was on ProductHunt, moreover, the site's design seems the most 'reliable' in my eyes. I promptly visited the websites. IMO it's much simpler, and smoother than using Amazon for a first time user like me. I didn't even sign up at first 🤣. I only have to links the product pages and specify info (optional) here and there. My inquiries were instantly transmitted to multiple possible forwarders to either accept or decline the quest. After one approval, we talked on the expense in the chat. Super effortless. It's as if i have a friend in that country where I could ask a favor to ship the desired goods to me. There are even services like 'buying assistant,' the forwarders purchase products for you. I didn't even have to buy it myself and fills in their address when i applied the 'buying assistant.' The products pic/ receipts were sent swiftly. It's convenient and fast too. Paid for everything, including insurance and others by PayPal. So far, I'm a big fan. Logistic business/ startup is totally a trend as many developing countries seize in and try to get a hold of their demands and needs to be presented to them. Props to whoever thought of the idea. 👏👏

The additional services (eg item checking, declaration at customs) are nice. It would be cool to know the price faster.

@seysconstantijn Thanks a lot! Once you post your request, the forwarders are able to make their offers and specify prices for you. And of course, you can always negotiate conditions with the forwarder. That's why Parcl is called a community)

Fantastic idea. I've found that quite a few US-based businesses that offer their product's delivery free for US customers often charge a ridiculously high flat-rate cost to everywhere else. This looks like a great fix for that.
