Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built PDFTools because of a loop I kept repeating: upload a PDF to some site to delete two pages, download it, upload it again somewhere else to sign it, download it again, upload it a third time to compress it. Three copies of a document I cared about sitting on three companies' servers, and ten minutes gone.
So I built the opposite. PDFTools runs in your browser. For the core tools your file is read into memory locally, processed locally, and downloaded locally — it is never sent to a server. No account, no queue, no upload progress bar.
There are 52 tools. 38 are free and unlimited with no signup: merge, split, compress, OCR, e-sign, redact, watermark, AES-256 encryption, PDF↔Word, PDF→CSV, PDF/A, form filling, page numbering, cropping, annotation, metadata editing, a local encrypted vault, text-to-speech, and more.
14 professional tools cover the work people normally pay Acrobat for:
• PDF Studio — chain reorder, delete, rotate, sign, watermark, protect and compress in one session without re-uploading
• PII Guardian — one-click scan and redaction of SSNs, card numbers, emails and phone numbers
• Bates numbering, Search & Redact, PDF Diff, Metadata Sanitizer — the legal set
• Certificate Generator (bulk from CSV), Form Data → CSV, Bulk Rename, Batch Process, Booklet imposition, Split by Bookmarks
• Recipes — one-click macros for Court E-Filing, Executive Signoff and Grant Review
Honest limits, because I'd rather you hear them from me: PDF→Word extracts text without rebuilding the original layout, PDF→CSV is heuristic on complex tables, OCR is English only, and the AI chat is the one feature that sends extracted text out of your browser — it's clearly marked and entirely optional. Free files are capped at 10MB.
Pricing: the 38 core tools are free forever. Premium is $12/mo or $8.33/mo yearly and unlocks the pro tools, 100MB files, batch up to 20, and unlimited AI.
What I'd most like feedback on: which of the 52 tools you'd actually use weekly, and which one is missing. I'm in the comments all day.

What truly sets PDF Studio apart is its Next-Gen 100% Client-Side Multi-Operation Pipeline—a feature no other online PDF platform has. While traditional websites force you into a tedious, multi-step bottleneck where you must upload, download, and re-upload your file for every single action (deleting pages, signing, watermarking, and compressing), PDF Studio lets you drop your document once into your browser memory. You can then chain all your edits together in one continuous, lightning-fast workspace. Best of all, because it runs entirely client-side with zero server uploads, your sensitive documents never leave your device, giving you desktop-grade workflow power with complete air-gapped privacy.
