@kyle_t @Perali is an interesting concept - I can relate to the #teeth issue - it would be interesting to see if there were going to be Intergrations such as cosmetic dentistry/ pediatric etc. US is huge for taking your wallet when it comes to Dental terms - there is no pricing regulations here so it’s “whatever” - if you “have” Debtal insurance it’s like throwing money down the toilet! Have you thought of maybe seeing if there was a way to partner with Dentists so that there could be opportunities to create an accessibly feature - bridge the gap?

Love the idea but seems like a difficult task for an AI algorithm with such low context. How are the 5 images supposed to be taken? Should it ask the patient for some general medical information so that the model has more context about it and integrates it?

Being in lockdown really has me thinking about the need for mobile healthcare. No matter how much your mum nags you to go to the dentist, it's just one of those things that's too easy to put off. I love the idea of being able to get a check-up on my phone at any time.

Kyle is a good friend of mine and I’ve been watching him build Pearlii for months now, working hard and sacrificing a lot to bring it to life. He showed me the app a few weeks ago on his android (I have an iphone). And it actually works! Haha it’s awesome, it picked up gingivitis on my gums and I was like “oh yeah, should definitely go see a dentist”. I’m super honoured to know Kyle and it’s a privilege to watch him and his team bring pattern recognition algos to primary healthcare to make it more accessible for everyone. Seeing this app grow over the last few months and hearing about it from Kyle has been very inspiring especially knowing the impact this app could have globally. Kyle is passionate and driven by wanting to make a difference in his community. I've personally used the app, the results were definitely confronting and a good reminder that I needed to invest more in my dental health even though I thought my teeth were fine! I am very excited to see where this app will go, and I know it will be a game-changer in dental health.

This is one of the very user friendly app. It gives us a basic idea about our teeth's health. It does a preliminary check up of our teeth while sitting at home. We can do a basic check up periodically to keep a track of our teeth and then if the need be only then we can visit a dentist.
