As PrettyLinks.co is shutting down the service, I am developing a similar version called https://socialport.io.
Not sure why Facebook launching domain verification will lead to shutting down of the service, the reason looks very strange on PrettyLinks.co website. I wonder if it's due to the pressure from Facebook.
@pabbyprism There are too many spammers (80% of total users) making phishing links on my site. My server was shutted down by my virtual hosting company for a few times. I didn't have a good way to fight these spammers. The ways I tried includes using AI to ban porn photos, whitelisting to ban spammers email & domain. But they spend me too much time in manual review. I don't know how to deal with them so I just put it down.
IMO, spamming cannot be completely cleaned on a website. That's why many link shorteners closed after operating for a while. If one doesn't have an automated way to clear spamming activities, the url shortening service is destined to fail.

Pages can still edit their title, description and images for their *own* websites. It's only for other websites that you cannot do this for.

@michaelkramers Oh I see, wasn't aware of that. Thanks for sharing.
