Primary is such a cool add-on! Normally, I’m a little wary of using just any add-on but this one in particular is a breath of fresh air and I’m loving using it! I’m always looking at new gear and always chasing the “tone” I’m after. Being able to get real world opinions and reviews via reddit and other forums is a must! I look for those and trust those reviews and Primary makes it so easy to obtain that trustworthy information! I use it daily and will continue to use it going forward. Do yourself a favor and get it and experience the magic it provides!

I'm a software developer on Primary, but also being a bass player myself, I agree with you because it's a never-ending quest find the right tone, and it's something that the musician community understands. It's about time...Several decades into the Internet and only now does someone finally leverage the wisdom of forum posters to drive ecommerce. Could take the pain out of the online shopping experience for so many consumers. May be transformational for many categories of products and sellers of higher-ticket niche items.

Smart idea, will make shopping easier. I tend to spend hours looking for reviews and experiences on reddit for items that are expensive. Hope you build this company sustainably and don't sell out customer data :fingerscrossed:

@lars_valja Thanks for the feedback. We've never sold any user data and don't plan to. If we ever do, I grant you permission to publicly throw a pie in my face. 🥧 We generate revenue through product widgets that publisher forums embed on their sites. They share the affiliate revenue with us.

I'm often skeptical of the reviews I see on places like Amazon, where people who are connected to the vendor or people who don't know what they're talking about post their random impressions. You often have to wade through too much junk to find useful information. I like that Primary pulls in more detailed information from enthusiasts who are commenting on other platforms. The information is more detailed and more reliable and helps me make wiser decisions.

I'm usually opening a ton of separate tabs to look at reviews of products. It's nice to not have to do that and see something that harnesses the use of the platforms already out there.

This is a great idea and I can't wait until this gets rolled out into more categories. I do a lot of research before buying on reddit so bringing this data in plus from other sources that I didn't know about or don't often check is awesome! Please keep us in the loop when you add new categories!

@masterjedi Will do. We are constantly learning how people talk about different types of products and are adding new categories daily. Each category has it's own quirks and challenges. If you have any retailers, categories or hobbies you'd like us to prioritize please let us know!
