From my testing it's been a blessing. The only thing missing is adb connect support but it's related to a bug in adb reverse. Vysor has been a good tool so far, but it's been heavy on my system (electron, sigh). I switched from it to scrcpy even though I was a paying user. Worth the try!
Scrcpy is what Google should have done (Plus UI), it's hands-down the best tool for controlling my Android from my Mac. Screen recording and camera mirroring work like magic over USB or Wi-Fi.
