@danischenker The natural experiment framing is the strongest part of this: a contest compresses two years of SERP dynamics into a few weeks.
One scoreboard I'd add: AI visibility. In my own niche, the race for being cited by ChatGPT and Perplexity moved faster than the classic rankings did.
Any plans to track which engines cite which contest pages day by day?
@alex_iliescu Hey Alex. Thanks for your feedback. I am sure that AI visibility will be the future of SEO(GEO) contests. This first contest I am tracking, though, is only about the traditional Google rankings.
At the moment, the tracking is only about 50% automated. Making it 100% is going to be a lot of work and I am waiting to get some feedback first, before I put the time into it ;-)
