Paste your app's URL and Specreel walks it in a real browser, turning your key flows into narrated, shareable demos. Already on Playwright? It renders them from your test traces on every green build, so a demo can't go stale. Open-source CLI + hosted Cloud.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Dylan, and I built Specreel.
AI has made building software dramatically faster, and my own projects were no exception. When I did find time to record a demo video, it was out of date within a week. Since I'm always spinning up something new, it kept happening. So I set out to solve my own problem.
The one thing that never went stale was my end-to-end tests. They recorded the exact same browser flows on every build, and when the app changed, they failed instead of quietly drifting.
So Specreel treats them as one artifact: a recorded browser flow. Replay it = demo. Share it = send. Assert it = test.
Three ways in:
• Paste your app's URL → we open it in a real browser, suggest the flows worth showing, and turn them into a narrated, shareable demo gallery. Behind a login? Add a test account and we sign in first.
• Already on Playwright? Turn on tracing and point the open-source CLI at your trace.zip files (JS/TS, Python, Java, .NET). A GitHub Action republishes on every green build, so your demo is never older than your last passing build.
• Prefer to just ask? The MCP server lets Claude Code or Cursor run the whole loop.
Things I cared about:
– Captions come straight from your actions and assertions. They're deterministic and need no AI. AI narration and voiceover are opt-in, bring your own key.
– Typed passwords and one-time codes are masked automatically.
– You never change your tests. The demo is just an output.
– Cloud is free to start. Team ($39/mo) adds scheduled re-checks and Slack/email alerts when a flow breaks. Viewers and reviewers are always free.
🎁 For the Product Hunt community: code PRODUCTHUNT takes 50% off any paid plan for your first 3 months (redeem by Nov 30). This link applies it when you sign up: https://app.specreel.dev/redeem/PRODUCTHUNT
The live gallery on our site is Specreel documenting itself: 12 flows of its own app, generated from its own test runs. Built for the Google Cloud Run hackathon: Specreel Cloud runs on Cloud Run.
I'd love your feedback, especially: what would you point it at first, and what would make you trust a demo you didn't record by hand?
Linking demos to passing tests makes sense. For ecommerce demos, can I redact customer names, email addresses and order details before a gallery is published, and keep each refresh private until reviewed?
Demo tied to a green build is the right call. Stale demos are worse than none.
