A developer-focused alternative to Google Docs for instant team collaboration. Development teams can experience fast, effortless collaboration and instant alignment with markdown support and no account required.
Stashpad is a quick, elegant, dev-focused markdown collaboration doc. It was super helpful in collaborating on the blog post for this launch! Reminds me of Sublime but multiplayer.

Hey @stash_new I'm all in on the simplicity and focus Stashpad Docs brings to documentation!
I'm wondering if this integrates seamlessly with task management tools. For example, the ability to convert text sections into tasks directly within the platform and assign them to team members?
@aayush_kniru that's a great question! Not yet but integrations are high on our next-up list.

Love how simple it is! Two questions:
- how to delete a note?
- if I'm not logged in, won't my notes disappear at some point (I'm ok with logging in but anyway :)?
@maria_chernoyarova great questions!
To delete a note, you'd currently just select all the contents (CMD/CTRL + A) and delete. Empty docs aren't saved.
Even if you're not logged in, your notes will still be saved. You can find them any time with the search icon in the top left.
Logging in lets you quickly access notes across devices.
I love how minimal this product is. It's so easy to spin up and collaborate straight away -- the perfect collaborative scratchpad. No need to login and super duper quick.
We use a bunch of apps in my team (from Notion, GDocs, to Obsidian, the whole lot) and, with Stashpad being so easy to use, it can really become our common starting point for collaborative notes.
Congrats on the launch!
@alexomeyer "super duper quick" is exactly what we're going for. 🤓

I’ve honestly never considered an alternative to Google Doc, didn’t think I needed one until this came out. Love how you can just start collaborating without creating accounts, plus it’s insanely fast. Excited to see where this goes.
I've been using Stashpad Docs as a very early user. I love the product, and I think it's a really lightweight and fast way to create and share documents. I have already found two great use cases for it. The first is replacing long, back-and-forth message threads on Slack or Discord with a simple doc to have the same conversation in a lightweight way. The second main use case is sharing documents with folks where I just need simple text and formatting but I'm sharing the document with people where I don't know their email addresses and they're not part of my organization or domain.
@chudson thanks so much for sharing and for all of your early feedback! 🙌🏻

Love what the team has built...I have stash.new saved as a bookmark - makes it super simple to start a new doc and send to share wherever and to whoever I want to collab with. Congrats Cara and team on the launch!!
