Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Phillip, one of the makers of Teachoo.
Teachoo comes from the team behind iAsk.ai, which has handled nearly 1 billion searches since launch. With Teachoo, we’re bringing that experience to helping students work through problems and understand how to solve them.
Ever read a perfectly clear explanation, thought “got it,” then had no idea where to start on the next problem?
That’s the gap we’re working on.
Teachoo is a free AI tutor that helps students work through problems one question at a time. Type a question or upload a photo of your homework, and it guides you through the reasoning.
Here’s an example from our demo. A student asks:
“Solve x² − 5x + 6 = 0.”
Teachoo starts by asking which two numbers multiply to 6 and add up to −5. The student tries an answer, gets feedback, and works toward the solution through a conversation.
Those attempts matter. They give Teachoo something to respond to and the student a chance to figure out the next step.
When you need more support, “Bigger hint” gives you another nudge, and “I’m Stuck” helps explain the step. There are also visual explanations, flashcards with spaced repetition, and a dashboard to follow your progress.
We want students to leave a session feeling more ready to tackle the next problem themselves.
Even if your homework days are behind you, try a problem you haven’t solved in years on Teachoo. It’s free to use.
I’d love to hear where the guidance felt helpful and where you wanted it to get to the point faster.
Thanks for giving Teachoo a try!
@phillipderenzo I like this approach a lot it helps students actually understand the problem instead of just copying the answer
@phillipderenzo The photo upload featured looks helpful. Can it understand questions from a notebook photo?
Guiding students toward the answer with hints instead of just handing it over is the right call for actual learning, and free access makes it easy to try. The option to ask for a bigger hint versus a full step explanation is a nice bit of control. Does it adapt the hint difficulty based on how the student is doing?
