As an early stage founder, it's hard to get in front of the right investors. The Premoney List is a mini-marketplace that presents two founders to a group of 600+ investors each week. 🚀 Founders: Meet more investors! 🕵🏽♀️ Investors: Discover new companies!

This is an invaluable service for founders. There are many database type solutions but this is probably the first that does so much hand holding and does not even charge for it. Congratulations @jake_schonberger1
@jake_schonberger1@vishal_srivastava3 Agreed Vishal! Making these companies more visible before they're on crunchbase etc. is super important. all of the founders, however, are motivated to increase visibility, so there's a huge opportunity to map that motivation to a simple service. Would be great to conenct to talk through what the next steps fo the product look like.

Those of us who are connecting smart people to smart people are like key stone species. So very valuable. Love how you have targeted two niche groups who both need help finding each other. As an early stage startup founder I am very grateful to have been featured and even more grateful for the private curated connections. Huge value add. Make sure you keep track of all the connections and stories you are creating, they are your currency.
@maxine_cunningham Amazing to have met you / feature you and Pick My Brain on the list last week. Certainly working on how to best track and manage al of the connections we're making.
Excited to keep in touch!

What are some interesting usecases you have seen from early customers?
@kimwright5 Hey Kim! Thanks for the comment. A couple interesting take-aways so far:
From the investor/advisor side: I initially kicked off Premoney with 20 companies (!!!) per week, which was a) a LOT of work on my end and b) actually too many companies for recipients to go through in any depth. I chunked that down to 10 companies for about 2 months....then ultimately down to 2 companies (as I'm doing now). This current format of 2-companies with more info on each company has allowed the readers to really learn more about the companies, and the founders to get more value through a more captive audience.
From the founder side: I've worked with a few founders who have wanted to stage their Premoney feature with their ProductHunt Launch to include it in their general launch strategy. I don't think our 'reach' is big enough yet to compare to Product Hunt, but our audience is very specific, so we've still been able to add value. Still learning alot here, specifically around "which stage" a founder or company would get the most value out of Premoney.

Love how you made this lean by starting with a substack newsletter first. Great potential!
@daryllman Thanks Daryll. Using a newsletter to test out different content and engagement models. Next step is to build a super curated live marketplace (thinking 2-4 companies per week) on top of the newsletter, but still trying to figure the right approach. Let me know you're open to throwing around a few ideas!

@jake_schonberger1 Thats great! Many a times we are too eager to jump into created a full-fledged platform, without figuring out exactly whats good or whats not. Awesome hearing that you are carefully weighing options!
@daryllman Definitely resisted the urge a couple of times! A quick next step might even be moving to something like Ghost which supports more newsletter / email integrations. We'll see!
