Hey all, Daniel from Formation here! In my experience as a technical interviewer over the last 20+ years and thousands of interviews, I’ve found many smart people perform poorly in interviews because they’re rusty on fundamentals. Some more junior engineers may not yet have the experience to have these things really polished. For some very senior engineers, their daily work may have become far removed. A well designed coding interview can expose these missing fundamentals. In building this new product, I was primarily responsible for the design of the questions. My team and I worked hard to create questions that exercise the kinds of fine-grain skills that strong coders utilize every day. You may find that many of the questions are not what you’d encounter in a real interview and that’s by design. While a single interview question requires a wide range of skills, here we’re asking *very narrow* questions so that we can best identify strengths and weaknesses... ...and therefore help you focus your interview prep based on the results!

This is a free tool that tailors itself to provide an optimal assessment by adapting to you as you go; that's perfect for folks using TIRA. Add on that TIRA results can be considered by companies across candidates and they can also make more informed decisions. This is a win win, and all for free! Great work :)
