Over the past weeks since our launch, we've received tons of feedback, feature requests, and fresh insights from users.
And it's reshaped a lot in how we see todai and where it s headed next.
We're currently working on a major shift in the product: new functionality that will make todai even more useful as a daily thinking companion for people navigating emotional balance, stress, and wellbeing.
But before we go further, we want to talk to the right people.

Todai's collaboration with psychology experts is impressive! 📚 How often do you update the methodologies based on new psychological research?
todai
@jaredl Thanks so much! That collaboration really shaped the heart of how todai works.
Right now, our core methodology is stable — but we’re actively reviewing new research with our academic advisor each quarter. We treat the system like a living framework: grounded in established psychology, but open to updates as we learn more from both users and science.
Honestly, journaling apps never worked for me because they felt like emotional homework. This seems to help you connect dots between thoughts without needing to over analyze everything. That's rare in mental therapy apps.
todai
@hamza_afzal_butt Thank you, really appreciate you sharing that!
With Todai, we wanted self-reflection to feel natural, not like something you have to push yourself to do. The idea is simple - you share what's on your mind, and the AI helps by organizing your thoughts, asking thoughtful questions, and pointing to what really matters.
Not sure how I feel about quantifying emotional balance but I respect that this app isn’t pretending to be a therapist. If it stays grounded in support rather than diagnosis, then it could be a real win.
todai
@yatheen_brahma Totally hear you — and really appreciate you naming that concern.
We feel the same way: emotional experience isn’t something you can (or should) reduce to numbers. That’s why the Happy Lifestyle Index is not a “score” or judgment — it’s just a reflection tool to help surface patterns you might otherwise miss.
And yes — we’re very intentional about not crossing into the territory of therapy or diagnosis.
todai is here to support awareness, not to label or fix.
If it helps someone pause, reflect, and feel a bit more in tune with themselves — that’s the win for us.

I’ve been using todai for a few weeks, and it’s genuinely made self-reflection easier. The mood tracking feature helps me spot trends in my stress and energy levels, which is super useful during busy work periods. I appreciate that it offers science-backed suggestions tailored to my situation—much more practical than generic advice. I think todai would be especially helpful for students juggling deadlines or anyone wanting to better understand their emotional ups and downs. It feels like having a supportive guide right on my phone!
todai
@joey_zhu1 Wow — this means a lot to us, truly.
That’s exactly what we hoped todai could be: not just another tracker, but a supportive guide that actually helps you understand what’s going on underneath the surface — especially during high-pressure stretches.
Really appreciate you sharing this — and totally agree: students, founders, anyone riding emotional ups and downs daily… this is who we built it for. Thanks for being part of the journey.
STORI
Really appreciate the thoughtful design behind todai! The Happy Lifestyle Index is such a refreshing and actionable way to tune into emotional energy—not just productivity. As someone juggling a lot, I especially love how the AI helps break vague feelings into clear insights and then suggests small, targeted mindset shifts. ‚Reframe‘ and ‚Reset‘ feel like mini-therapy breaks that actually fit into a busy day. Kudos to the team for weaving in psychology expertise—looking forward to seeing how it evolves!
todai
@elene_tandashvili Thank you, that really means a lot to us!
We built Todai to feel helpful and human - not just about getting more done, but about feeling more connected to yourself. It’s great to hear that "Reframe" and "Reset" resonated with you. Finding that balance between meaning and everyday ease has been a key focus.
We really appreciate you being part of the early journey and are excited to keep building from here.
Most mood apps just collect data—todai actually helps understand it. That psych-backed approach? Exactly what my chaotic brain needs. Consider me signed up!
todai
@rani_zagita That’s exactly what we were going for — not just data collection, but real understanding.
So glad the psychology-backed side clicked with you — and welcome aboard! Your chaotic brain is in good company here 😄
Kortix
I like that this isn’t trying to “fix” people but just helps you listen to yourself better. Mental health tools often miss that.
todai
@markokraemer Exactly — that was one of our core principles from day one.
We’re not here to fix, optimize, or diagnose — just to help people hear themselves a little more clearly.
Really appreciate you seeing that — it means a lot.
