Transfa is a free browser tool for preparing edited photos for Instagram and other social platforms. Inspect and clean supported EXIF, XMP, IPTC and C2PA metadata from JPEG, PNG and WebP photos, one at a time or in batches of up to 20. Photo processing stays on your device and preserves compressed image data without re-encoding. Standard MP4/MOV cleanup is available in beta. Cleaning metadata cannot guarantee AI-label removal, remove invisible watermarks or change existing posts.
This is the 2nd launch from Transfa. View more

Hi Product Hunt!
A tiny AI touch-up can leave a surprisingly loud label on an Instagram photo. Transfa is for the step between finishing that edit and making a new post.
Choose a photo, inspect the hidden file information, clean a copy and save it. You can also clean a whole photo dump of up to 20 JPEG, PNG or WebP files. Processing happens in your browser, with no photo uploads, no account and no recompression of the image data. It's free for now. Standard MP4/MOV cleanup is in beta.
One important limit: file metadata is only one signal platforms use. Transfa cannot promise a label-free upload, remove invisible watermarks or change a post that's already online.
For anyone who remembers the old Transfa: the file-sharing product is retired. This relaunch is a change of direction, with a new workflow for photographers and creators.
If you try it, I'd love to hear which editor and social platform you used, whether the new upload still gets a label, and how saving the cleaned copy feels on your phone.
Thanks for taking a look!
