Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Aryan, one of the founders of Turnstone.
I was using Grok Bot every day and kept hitting the usage limit right in the middle of real work. It was pretty frustrating because it felt like my team of employees would randomly take a 3 day vacation when I needed them the most. At the same time, I was already paying for Claude and ChatGPT, and those subscriptions were barely being used. This is why @jai_bhatia2 and I decided to build Turnstone.
Turnstone lets your Agents run on the AI you already pay for. You sign in with your Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Grok subscription. You can also connect an API key (like OpenRouter), or point to a model you host yourself, like Ollama running on your Mac or a custom endpoint.
When one of your AI subscriptions hits its usage limit, your Agents move over to another one and keep working in the same conversation, so you're never stuck waiting for a limit to reset.
If you already have bots on Grok Bot, you can bring all of them over to Turnstone, and their skills and routines come with them. We made a bot that does the move for you: https://x.ai/bot/mrEaEhbIahB380oYB8N19
If you haven't tried Grok Bot yet but want to try something like it with the AI you already have, Turnstone is a great place to start. And if you don't pay for any AI yet, you can still get started with some free open source models we provide.
The gallery above shows the rest of what your Agents can do, from working in your apps to running Routines on their own every morning. You can send them work from your iPhone while they keep running on your Mac. Turnstone is completely free to use on your Mac, and it will stay that way.
Since it's Hypership Day 🚀, drop anything you wish Turnstone did in the comments and we'll try to ship as much of it as we can today. Our only goal is to free everyone's work from usage limits they can't control!
@jai_bhatia2 @aryanvij02 what a great find today.. one que i have If I route queries exclusively through Ollama does any telemetry data still touch external cloud servers?
@priya_kushwaha1 Nothing touches our cloud server! Your data remains yours and stays local. For the connectors, we have zero data retention with our provider (Composio) so no information gets stored there as well. Happy to answer more questions.
@aryanvij02 that's great to hear, thanks for confirming best of luck for today🙌
@priya_kushwaha1 @aryanvij02 It feels super lightweight compared to otherbloated automation tools out there.
@jai_bhatia2 @aryanvij02 Perfect alternative for keeping workflows running smoothly all day long.
Super cool, are you guys planning on supporting local models or is that included already?
What is yall’s favorite agent template you recommend to anyone
@alanduong I prefer talking to the Chief of Staff agent about what I need, and it suggests the perfect team of agents for me! It works better than pre-existing templates and the chief of staff has some unique configurations that makes it really good at making and maintaining other agents.
@alanduong We do support local models! You can use Ollama or point to a custom endpoint if you have your own inference running on your servers.
super cool, is it a webapp/desktop app only or also phone?
Congratulations on the launch! This is a great way to maximize subscriptions!
What are some cool workflows that you've seen users create while using Turnstone?
Cracked team
Keeping the conversation when a provider hits its limit is useful. I'd want the switch to show which actions already finished, so the next model can continue without repeating them.
@oleksii_sekundant Switching between models and model providers works seamlessly within the same agent! So the next model you switch to will never repeat the task that is already done.
If Claude dies mid-connector job and Ollama can't use the same tools, do you pause me or keep going blind?
