Does it format only what changed, or the whole file?
The thing that bites me with Prettier in an existing codebase
isn't the formatting — it's that a one-line fix comes back as
a forty-line diff because the file was never formatted to the
current config. With agent-written edits that gets worse, not
better, because the diff is the only thing I'm actually
reviewing.
Congrats Hayden on shipping Ultracite v8, and thanks fmerian for the hunt. Putting every agent's rules in one AGENTS.md instead of a file per tool removes a lot of quiet drift. When ultracite fix --claude hands over what autofix can't settle, what stops the agent from clearing a diagnostic with an ignore comment instead of fixing the code? Is that something the anti-slop preset catches?
