Hi PH, I'm Shervin. I built VinSage because checking a used car meant a dozen tabs: NHTSA for recalls and complaints, Transport Canada for Canadian recalls, fueleconomy.gov for running costs. VinSage puts all of it in Chrome's side panel next to the listing, on AutoTrader.ca, CarGurus and Cars.com, or anywhere you can paste a VIN.
It's honest about its limits. Recalls and complaints are per model year, not per VIN, though it links you to the official open-recall check for the exact VIN. The deal score covers safety, recalls, complaints, fuel cost, age and mileage. It doesn't judge price yet. It's not a history report.
Free core checks, no account, no ads, no analytics. I'd love feedback on which listing sites to support next.
Pulling recalls and owner complaints next to the listing while I am looking at it is the right moment, because that is when I would actually think to check whether this specific car has a fuel pump problem.
