Scrolling through Trending and Featured over the past few weeks, it's hard not to notice how much of the leaderboard is AI agents, AI copilots, or "AI for X" tools. Even categories that used to be more varied, productivity, marketing, dev tools, seem to be getting absorbed into that same wave.

Not saying that's a bad thing, a lot of these products are genuinely solving real problems. But it does make we wonder if it's getting harder for a non-AI product to stand out here right now, simply because attention and upvotes are gravitating toward anything with an agent attached.

Is this just where the industry actually is, or is there a bit of a bandwagon effect happening with how products get positioned to fit the trend, even when the core idea isn't really about AI?

Something I ve noticed lately while working on a product: getting people to try something is often much easier than getting them to come back and use it again.

At first, I thought the problem was simply onboarding. So I kept tweaking the first few screens, removing steps, changing the copy, etc.

But after talking to a few users, I m starting to wonder if that s actually the wrong thing to focus on.

A couple of people understood the product perfectly well and still didn t return. Their feedback was basically, Yeah, this is useful I just don t have a reason to open it again yet.
