What's great
The edited reels use my real videos, not random generated slop. They look like a human editor did them, exactly in my style, and it usually only takes me one prompt. I send the prompt and in 5mins the AI has finished editing. And I can make carousels, infographics, etc in the same app. This actually works for my daily routine.
What needs improvement
Longer limit for video. I want to do full Youtube videos with it, not only shorts.
vs Alternatives
-CapCut is still 100% manual, i have to drag and place stuff around.
-Opus too, it's just i can set an edit as a default to then use it as template for repurposing already edited long videos. But it applies blindly to everything and it requires i already prepared an edited long video.
-Captions is too template-y, it doesn't reason about my editing style, it looks like any course-selling scam video.
How accurately does natural-language editing match your intent?
It 100% understands what I am asking. If I ask something very complex or ambiguous, it asks me to clarify. I dare say it "gets" what I mean more than a mid human editor would.
How well does auto clip selection find the best moments?
It really understands which takes are better than others, to be honest better than I do. It picks scenes and composes the sequence in a way that really works. A lot of the time I can't even notice the cut's between scenes, they are so well timed, all I notices is how dynamic the video feels.
How does server-side rendering handle long or 4K footage?
So good, it exports way faster than other editing ups and it doesn't make my phone lag or heat up. When I do a manual change and save of a high quality 3 min video, it returns the finished post in around 30s.
