I've spent more than three decades in technology and professional services, from hands-on engineering to the C-suite. I've led teams from one person to over 200, across healthcare, government, financial services, retail, and the charity sector. Today my work focuses on governance and how organisations can integrate AI without losing the people, judgement, and values that make a business worth building. I've created a methodology for bringing scale to what we do without substituting people for tech, captured in three books: Engineering with AI, Thinking with AI, and Leading IT with AI. At Backstory Group, I build compliance and resilience software for mid-market regulated organisations. The products I create echo the ethical position I believe we should all take.
