I'm a founder from the Netherlands, building Memnar: a portable memory for your AI, as files you own. I spent years in education and AI-literacy before this, teaching people and organizations to work with AI instead of around it. Memnar started with my own frustration: every tool remembered a version of me I couldn't read, edit, or take with me. So I'm building the one where you can. What's your system for not re-explaining yourself to every new AI chat?

I'm Annet. I'm building Memnar, and it launches here on 17 August. Before I show you what we made, I'd rather hear how you handle this today.

For every non-technical person; every new chat, every new tool, you start from zero. The AI doesn't know how you write, what you're working on, or the ten things you explained yesterday (sure, everyone with Github repo knowledge and 'second brain' knowledge excluded). So you re-explain. Or you keep a context doc and paste it in. Or you accept the generic version and rewrite it yourself.

I've done all three, and none of them travel well between ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor.

What are the 5 tools you simply couldn't do your work without?

This could be related to your industry, or even a side project you're working on.

Here are my 5 (I couldn't function without them):

  1. Grammarly proofreading my texts, not just posts, but also client communication

  2. ChatGPT / Claude mostly brainstorming, help with copy, and summarising

  3. Figma I can put the basic graphics together quickly.

  4. Translator sounds incredibly old-school, but English is not my mother tongue

  5. Gmail and not only for communication, but also for storing ideas and sending myself email reminders for posts
