What's great
It just stays hidden in my top menu bar and shows me all I need in a small icon, the remaining time. No ads, no data stored in a server, all stays local and open source, forever. What more to ask?
What needs improvement
It does have everything I need right now. But I would love to see if I can change the themes. I love teal and can't wait to have the look and feel of the app follow that. But, maybe new subtle and useful features are already in the works.
vs Alternatives
I did try a few other apps like Flow. That was good, but it's littered with features to make sure it justifies it's in app purchases, and that does make the app quite complicated to use. If you want a no-nonsense app that does exactly what you want, to keep you focused, there's no better option than Flumen.
How accurate is time tracking across multiple sessions?
All I can say is that it's on point. Clearly tracked and shown.
Is the animated progress ring clear and unobtrusive?
Absolutely yes. This is the best implementation I've come across.
Is data truly local with no background network calls?
Yes, I didn't see any network calls happening. The data is truly local.
