About

I've loved building things for 20 years. I spent much of that designing and building trading systems for investment banks high-stakes, performance-critical software where reliability wasn't optional. These days I'm doing what I enjoy most: building Mac and iOS productivity apps, trying to change how people work. DeskArcade is one of them tiny games that live over your real desktop. I ship, I listen, and I build the things I want to use.

DeskArcade - Sneak a game into any meeting.

A native macOS menu-bar app that drops a transparent arcade of ten micro-games over your real desktop. Press ⌘⌥B, play for 90 seconds, press it again ,gone. Free, notarized, doesn't touch your real apps.

What would you want DeskArcade to do beyond games?

DeskArcade launched as 10 tiny games that live over your desktop but a few people have started asking "what else could this do?", and honestly I'm curious where the community's head is at.

The core of it isn't really the games it's the transparent layer that floats over your real screen and can react to what you're doing, without taking over your workflow. Games are just the first thing living on it.

So I'm genuinely asking: what would you want on that layer?

A few directions I've been mulling:
