I m Nihar, a software engineer and indie developer. I spend most of my time building products and experimenting with side projects.
Recently I launched a small app called Mummy s Cooking, which started from a pretty personal problem. As an international student living away from home, I wanted to cook more regularly but realized how messy meal planning can get. Recipes in screenshots, grocery lists in notes, and meal ideas scattered everywhere.
I ve been thinking about this a lot while building my side project.
Cooking itself isn t that hard. But planning what to cook every week somehow feels unnecessarily complicated.
Recipes are saved in random places. Grocery lists live in another app. And meal planning usually ends up being a mix of notes, screenshots, and memory.
Most recipe apps are full of ads, subscriptions, and clutter.
Mummy’s Cooking is a calm meal planning app that keeps things simple. Save recipes, plan weekly meals, and build grocery lists in one place. It works offline and is a one-time purchase with no ads or subscriptions.
Built for people who just want to cook and plan meals without distractions.
