I'm a big fan. Discovered this product in 2018 amid frustration trying to write long-form content. Novel and screenplay writing apps seemed like expensive overkill, but a simple word processor wasn't enough. Gingko is the perfect fit when you need more than a document but less than storyboards and character maps.

Slash does two things that no other app does: 1. It celebrates the wins. The little animations, the success gifs, the end of day recap -- it might sound simple, but it succeeds in making me look back and actually recognize the things that I actually did accomplish, instead of my default behavior of forever focusing on the never-ending list of things still in front of me (and killing my...

it's amazing. Will make it look like you have an in-house designer because everything is so consistent. It's super fast and super easy.

wanted to like it, but it's unreliable. If you close a flotato app with the red x and then want to re-open it later, it only works about half the time. The other half of the time you just click the icon in your dock and nothing happens. You have to manually quit and re-launch it, which means logging in again. I downloaded version 23 and the developer said it was fixed with version 24, but now...

Let's get this out of the way: It's a great app with the potential to be truly excellent. Many apps are either beautiful, fully-featured, or simple. Very few manage to be all three at the same time. They've been working on their mobile app since at least 2016 (that's when I discovered it), and now the MacOS offering is as wonderfully elegant as a native Mac app. It's a 1.0, so iteration and...
