What's great
I found the sweet spot between Things 3 and Motion. It's called FlowSavvy.
If you know Things 3, you know what buttery-smooth UI feels like. If you've used Motion, you know what it feels like to have an app think for you. FlowSavvy somehow nails both. The drag-and-drop is silky, the visual design is genuinely beautiful, and when your schedule shifts, it recalculates everything almost instantly. No friction, no fuss. The whole point of a task manager is to get tasks out of your head, and FlowSavvy actually does that. I dump everything in, set priorities, and it handles the rest. That reduction in cognitive load is real and it's significant.
What needs improvement
The one thing I'd love to see next: keyboard shortcuts. Power users live by them, and adding them would make an already fast app feel truly native. Still, this is easily the most impressive task manager I've tested.
vs Alternatives
Many, though not interested in downplaying other apps.
Are there notifications for upcoming tasks and schedule changes?
No, and thank goodness, because I don't need notifications as I'm using it consistently to keep a pulse on what's going on.
What happens when tasks exceed available time windows?
It's very easy to recalculate the scheduling and timing so it all works out.
What’s the learning curve and onboarding like?
Onboarding is smooth. They're good short intro windows to get you moving, and the rest is intuitive.
