Thanks for #4! 🚀 here’s what’s next

Hey makers,

We re tremendously grateful to this community for your support during our launch last Thursday. Reaching the Top 5 is a massive win and we couldn't have done it without you.

We started Meteroid because we wanted advanced billing capabilities to be accessible from day one, not something you "graduate" into at Series B nor a "privilege" gated behind 5-figure enterprise contracts.

We re a small team, and seeing the comments and dozens of you signing up has been hugely energizing. To keep this momentum going, we re committed to shipping fast based on your input.

Billing is broken. We make the cure accessible to everyone. 🔓

After countless conversations with SaaS founders, the same thing keeps coming up: they want to monetize their product, not wrestle with invoices & pricings.

Yet most billing tools are either pricey, rigid, or both. That s why we built Meteroid:

Open-source

Hey makers!

I m Donatien, co-founder of Meteroid. I ll be honest: I m quite nervous as we re gearing up for our first PH launch next Thursday (Jan 29th), and the imposter syndrome is hitting hard.

Hi Product Hunt community!

I m an iOS developer, and I finally launched my side project, makeapp.work, today.

Is usage-based pricing becoming the norm for AI tools?

Hey everyone,

I've built my product around traditional SaaS pricing (monthly tiers), but I m starting to wonder if that model is getting outdated, especially with more AI-powered and compute-heavy tools entering the market.
That shift requires real architectural changes, instrumentation, metering, billing logic, and UI changes, not just pricing tweaks. It s something I m starting to seriously think about for my own product.

In particular, AI usage has real COGs (every prompt costs money), and I m seeing more platforms experimenting with usage-based models, or hybrids like SaaS base + usage + overage.

For those of you building AI or compute-intensive tools:
