Should AI agents be allowed to execute their own decisions?

I've been building an AI-powered invoice and payment workflow, and one question keeps coming up:

Should an AI agent that recommends a payment also be allowed to execute it?

During testing, I ran into an interesting problem.

An invoice could look perfectly valid, but there was no confirmation that the work had actually been delivered.

What would make you trust an AI agent with business payments?

AI agents are becoming capable of handling real operational work, but moving company money creates a much higher standard for control and accountability.

We built Vestiarion to explore a controlled approach:

The agent evaluates an invoice, freelancer milestone or GitHub contribution
Deterministic code enforces spending limits and treasury policies
Exceptions are routed to a human approval inbox
Every decision is recorded in a signed, hash-chained audit trail
The current release settles test USDC on Arc testnet

We would value perspectives from founders, finance operators and developers:

Vestiarion - AI agent that decides, explains and pays your bills in USDC

Vestiarion is an AI agent for accounts payable. Forward a bill by email, PDF, Slack or Telegram: the agent checks the purchase order, delivery, sanctions screening and limits, decides to pay, schedule or hold, and says why. Payments go out in USDC on Arc within limits set in code and in an on-chain contract it cannot exceed. Every decision is signed. Shadow mode lets you try it on your real bills first, without moving your money.
