👋 Hey, I’m Eric — a software engineer with a focus on complex distributed systems, observability, and tooling. At Tesla, I’ve built critical core systems — the kind that need to run reliably 24/7, all over the globe. I’ve worked across the stack to improve developer velocity, system resilience, and operational visibility. Parachute Backup is my return to the Mac: a side project that solves a real-world gap in the Apple ecosystem — getting actual backups of your iCloud Photos and Drive. It’s engineered to be dependable, automation-friendly, and dead simple to use. No lock-in, no sync weirdness — just quiet, local backups on your terms.
