At my professional work, I use text porta as translation engine. It provides smooth translations of ebooks, as seamless as possible. I just upload the file, pick the language and get the translated output. Nothing more, nothing complicated. Just pure translation, done with no effort.
What needs improvement
PDF support and API Access would be nice.

How accurate are translations for literary styles and idioms?
Very accurate. In litetaruary works, artistic accuracy drops a bit but for scientific accuracy translations, I find it very accurate.
How fast is translation for a 300-page e-book?
About 1 minute.
Can I receive email notifications on job completion?
I don't know.
