Ezgi spent eight years in humanitarian protection work with organizations including UNHCR, IOM, and various NGOs focused on refugee response. She holds an M.S. in Gender and Women's Studies from METU and a B.A. in Philosophy from Bilkent University. After a period of unemployment, she built BloomDay from scratch using AI tools — designing every plant, directing every feature, and building the website and marketing entirely on her own. No CS degree, no coding bootcamp, no team. Just determination. Her humanitarian background (figuring out what people need, working with limited resources, staying composed when things break) turned out to be surprisingly transferable to product development.
