If I don't write something down in the next thirty seconds, it's gone: an idea, an appointment, the thing I promised someone I'd remember. With ADHD that happens many times a day. So I built SecondBrain. I tap, I talk, and it writes a clean note in my words, files it in the right folder, puts the date on my calendar and reminds me.

The part I didn't plan: once that memory existed, I wanted every AI I use to read it. Now Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor share the same notes over MCP, so I stop re-explaining my life to every new chat.

I launched here in June and got almost no traction, which taught me that a launch is about the people, not the button. So this time I'm here to actually be part of it. If you're working on voice capture, MCP or memory for AI, I'm happy to help or just compare notes.

I m Nitesh (Bhudev), co-founder of Vaani Research Labs, building voice AI from Bengaluru, India.

A question has followed me since my IISc days in 2017, when we ran experiments on borrowed supercomputer time: why does AI speech sound so un-human?

Our answer: humanness isn t a filter you add to speech. Imperfection is what makes a voice feel real, so it has to be built into the model itself. That belief became Vaani.

Before this, I spent years as a Staff Data Scientist at Hypersonix, working on forecasting engines and inventory simulations. Then I moved from predicting numbers to modelling speech.
