Launching something in the design world usually means talking about features. But the real reason Foursite exists came from watching a very specific problem repeat itself across interior design and residential projects.
A client walks into a consultation with opinions, references, screenshots, and a floor plan. The designer or architect leaves with a brief. Then everyone waits. Concepts are modeled. Renders are outsourced or produced internally. Feedback arrives late. Revisions pile up. Weeks pass before the client can respond to something concrete.
We are two engineers who had no business caring this much about floor plans. Yet here we are.
When we first explored AI for real estate, everyone told us the same thing. Start with photos. Run AI virtual staging. Make the images pop. It sounded reasonable. It also felt wrong.
Quick context: my co-founder and I are software engineers. We didn't set out to build a property management tool.
We set out to solve a visualization problem. Specifically, why does converting a 2D floor plan into a photorealistic 3D render still cost thousands of dollars and take weeks?
My co-founder and I are engineers. Not designers. Not developers (the real estate kind). We came into this space completely cold, and what we found made us want to build something.
Hey makers. We re tech founders who saw a massive gap in interior design tools. Designers spend days turning 2D floor plans into 3D. We built Foursite to fix that.
We come from engineering, not from interiors. That s important context.
Because when we first looked at the interior design workflow, we saw it like developers. We saw a pipeline full of blocking tasks. Hand-offs. Manual rebuilds. The kind of stuff you d refactor immediately if it were code.
We built Foursite because we were tired of watching great residential design get stuck inside flat files.
The story always started the same way.
A homeowner sends over Blueprints or 2D floor plans. Designers redraw them. Another tool turns those floor plans into a basic 3D shell. A third person creates interior design renders.
We built VirtualSpaces and our product Foursite because we were frustrated by how hard it still is to answer simple spatial questions from a floor plan. Two tech founders, staring at 2D floor plans, asking, Why can I not just
click a button and be inside this space in 3D. That was the starting point.
Foursite takes 2D floor plans and Blueprints and turns them into interactive 3D Visualization. You upload a plan. Our AI virtual staging and AI 3D visualization pipeline does the rest. In minutes, you are walking a space that did not exist a moment ago. You can explore AI interior design options, play with AI interior d cor, and see how different layouts might feel.
Interior designers still spend too much time rebuilding drawings. You receive 2D floor plans and Blueprints. You trace, you model, you clean up. Only then can you start real design work.
Foursite by VirtualSpaces attacks that bottleneck. It is built for teams who want to go from 2D to 3D in minutes and then live entirely in an AI visualization and AI 3D visualization workflow.
Not gonna lie. Building Foursite wasn t planned. My co-founder and I were just frustrated watching designers struggle. We re tech guys. Not architects. Not interior designers. But, we saw the pain.
