I use Fastmail, which, unlike Gmail, does not have integrated filters for different junk mail categories ("promotions", "social media", etc.). SaneBox has really helped clear up my Fastmail inbox, providing an easy filter for "blackhole" (i.e., mass mail that generally can be disregarded) and "SaneLater" (not essential but deserves a read or response). Sanebox is trainable by clicking and dragging emails into the different folders. It has saved me lots of time in my normal Inbox routine and has helped me manage my inbox to a reasonable amount of "unread" messages.
