Bird Buddy
It’s fair to say that I waited a long time for my Birdbuddy. I’ve seen lots of criticism about the delays encountered along the way, but as part of a Kickstarter project, it’s kind of a given that things might not run so smoothly. Perhaps I’m just more patient than most? Hand on heart though, my Birdbuddy arrived recently and the delay disappointment has been wiped out by the sheer brilliance of my amazing bird feeder. Now that the feeder is established in my garden, it’s a real buzz to get notifications on my phone. It’s a delight to check the app for postcards of my feathered visitors. The AI is working well and generally hits on the right bird. It’s definitely learning all the time! The quality of the videos and photos is astonishing - it’s amazing to be able to see these wild birds in such exquisite detail, and after a bit of time you start to see fascinating insights into bird behaviour and feeding habits. It’s an exciting addition to my garden for sure! After some initial teething issues, the Birdbuddy team are turning out to be great at communicating progress and plans. It’s refreshing to see a company hold their hands up to issues and see them actively working to put things right. They encourage feedback whether it’s good or bad and there’s always a hint of humour and enthusiasm in their updates that I find quite endearing. I’m excited to see what this company does next with Birdbuddy
