How do you stop AI coding agents from silently duplicating code?

Something I keep running into with vibe coding: the agent loses context mid-task and rebuilds a helper that already exists, under a new name, a couple of folders away.

Everything compiles and tests pass. But now half the app uses version A and half uses version B, and the two slowly drift apart. Each version passes review on its own, so nothing looks broken.

The symptoms can be small, like inconsistent date formatting across pages. They can also be serious. If only one copy got the auth check or input validation, part of your app is protected and part isn t, with no visible sign.

One cheap guardrail I ve seen: at the end of each session, ask the agent to list every new function it created, then check for near-duplicates before release.

GitScrum's Lifetime Deal is a scam – They completely locked access to the old platform!

I supported GitScrum early on by purchasing their $299 Lifetime Deal (which is a massive investment here in Vietnam, equal to 2 months of a worker's salary). Back then, the product was broken, incomplete, and barely usable. We bought it hoping to support them and grow together.

Fast forward to today: they have completely locked down the old platform so we can't even access it anymore. They rebranded to an "AI Agents" platform and told lifetime deal holders that our licenses do not transfer. If we want to use anything, we have to pay all over again.

Taking people's money for an unfinished product, promising lifetime access, and then completely locking us out to force a new paywall is pure scam behavior. Beware of their products and future deals!

Does raising seed capital early slow down product-market fit?

When we secured our first small angel round, we immediately expanded our developer team and tried to build three major features simultaneously. Having extra capital made us focus on scale before we had actually validated whether users really needed those features. On our next project, we operated strictly on a lean budget for six months. Because resources were tight, we were forced to talk to customers daily and refine a single core feature until it had real demand.

Does early funding distract teams from finding true customer needs, or is capital essential to compete in crowded markets?
