I m trying to understand what makes someone try a SaaS product and then stop using it after a few days.

Analytics can show where people drop off, but it doesn t always explain why. I think a short conversation with those users could help, though I m not sure what to ask without leading them toward an answer.

Everyone says an MVP doesn t need to look polished. Just build the core feature, get it in front of users, and see what happens.

I agree with most of that.

But there s something that bothers me about the design can wait approach.

Say you launch a simple tool with a genuinely useful feature. The UI is a little confusing, the layout feels unfinished, and users aren t quite sure what to do next.

We recently had a small discussion about bottom spacing in a B2B product.

The layout was using 80px of bottom padding, and the feedback was that it felt a little cramped. So we started looking at 160px instead.

My first thought was whether doubling the spacing was really necessary.

But looking at different screens made me question the idea of having one fixed value in the first place.
