I’ve learned the platform and built an app from scratch for a couple of months. The problem with Adalo is that it runs pretty smoothly until your app becomes a bit bigger. Then the builder becomes slow. The way the data is handled between screens is a good idea but it breaks when you disconnect screens and becomes a nightmare to fix. As soon as your app becomes a bit complex it creates lag and feels bad on the user end. There is no hover animations for a lot of components, no animations almost anywhere. The responsive engine doesn’t support iPad apps. Support is bad. Don’t waste your time The concept of Adalo is great but it lacks huge amounts of polishing. If you want to build a great and reliable app fast use Glide it’s simple and works amazingly well for internal apps. It’s also cheaper and they come up with new updates every months when Adalo brings only a few updates every year.
What needs improvement
slow performance (3)poor customer support (7)limited functionality (5)lack of updates (3)limited animations (1)responsive engine limitations (1)
