Is AI customer support becoming something much bigger?

The more AI customer support projects I work on, the more I feel support is only the starting point. Most teams begin with fairly obvious use cases: answering FAQs, handling tickets, updating orders, or triggering refunds.

That makes sense. These problems are easy to define and the value is easy to measure.

But once the AI is connected to customer data, CRM, billing, product usage, and other systems, its role can become much broader.

Mobile users behaved nothing like desktop users.

We segmented our analytics by device for the first time in April. 60 days of data, roughly 22,000 sessions.

Desktop (14,300 sessions):

  • Median session length: 8m 40s

  • Pages per session: 6.2

  • Trial start rate: 4.1%

  • Most common entry: homepage

Mobile (7,700 sessions):

Will brands still need to shoot ads?

I was looking at @Higgsfield and other AI video tools recently.

You can now create an ad without organizing a real shoot. Higgsfield also has tools specifically built to generate product ads from existing assets. A normal shoot means finding a location, people, equipment, then filming and editing everything. Now you can test different versions before doing any of that.

I don't think real shoots are going away, but I can see brands doing a lot less of them.

When would you still choose a real shoot over AI?
