Hey everyone, my name is Nash and I'm very new to all of this. I did something I could never have imagined just a year ago... I published my first app called Numerlo - Math Trainer on the app store!!
It's nothing extraordinarily new, just a simple mental math training app that I wanted myself but couldn't find. I'm sure there're lots of things I could have done better so would love any advice or feedback you have for it. Not expecting this to go big, just keen to learn from this first app dev experience
This would have been impossible just a few years ago. I'm an actuary with zero app development experience and I launched my first app using Replit. Numerlo - Founder Story Short version: all the existing math game apps look like they re made for kids so I made my own Long version: I realised my mental maths was getting worse. Working in a world of Excel and calculators all day I stopped doing simple maths in my head. Percentages. Multiplications. Quick estimates. Things that used to feel automatic suddenly took effort. So I went looking for an app to practise a few minutes a day but couldn t find one that s not made for kids I didn t want a game. I wanted something simple and fast I could use daily like Duolingo, but for mental maths. So I decided to build it myself. Nights and weekends later, my first app Numerlo is officially live on the App Store It s built for people who want to: Think faster Calculate quicker Feel sharper in meetings, interviews and daily work
