About

I'm a Principal-level Software Engineer in Test specialising in quality architecture, CI/CD enablement, and scalable automation platforms. My background spans full-stack engineering, DevOps, platform quality, and modern test automation across SaaS, microservices, desktop, mobile, and distributed systems. I focus on helping engineering organisations reduce delivery friction by treating quality as an engineering discipline rather than a downstream QA process. Over the last decade I've: - Built Playwright, API, and integration testing frameworks in TypeScript and Node.js

Vitals 1.6 is out.

What simple prompt rules do you use to stop AI tools from ignoring concurrent user edits?

Built a quick invoice app using cursor over the weekend and everything worked great on my end.

Then two people tried editing at the same time and one ended up overwriting the other's changes without any warning. Turns out AI coders won't add multi-user checks unless you explicitly ask for them.

Do you guys have a short prompt checklist to catch shared state issues before testing with real users?

How do you prevent coding assistants from reading irrelevant repo files?

Whenever I start a session in a large monorepo the agent automatically indexes or pulls in context from unrelated microservices. Suddenly, it starts suggesting patterns or types from a completely different service that shouldn't even be communicating with the current module.

The broader the context window gets, the more "cross-contamination" happens in the suggestions. How do you effectively curate or prune the file context before handing off a task to an agent?
